I've been living in Philly.
I picked up a bike courier job again.
I'm going to stop drinking and smoking.
I'm seeing a wonderful girl named Cayte.
I'm living with two really awesome people.
Life is really hectic... but amazing.

Christmas was the usual insults and general frusteration between family members like it usually is. I'm glad it's over. I guess I don't have much seasonal cheer this year.
I can't wait. I can't wait to get a few days off and go to Baltimore.

Today has been one of those days.
One of those days where you try to sit down and draw, and you end up tearing out page after page and crumbling them up outta frusteration.
One of those days where you try to sit down and write a song, but you fingers lack any kind of grace and your voice wont sing the notes you want it to.
One of those days where you try to sit down and listen to a record, but you can't find anything you want to listen to.
Not a bad day, just a horridly frusterating kind of day.
Makes me feel like a total bump on a log.

I've started a running routine.
And it feels FANTASTIC.
Everytime I'm like "UGH"... I just remind myself how great it feels when I'm all done.
I'm down to one or two smokes a day now.
My new wheelset should be here in a couple of days.

I was blown away by this post on a local 'hardcore' message board in response to militant black americans.
I can't believe people actually think this way around here... and it makes me physically sick to think that everyone even DEFENDS it.

But then again. This is also the town where in the hardcore community... a girl just got the shit beat out of them by some dude at a show the other week. Where objectifying women is the norm. Where being gay makes you an outcast among the pack of outcasts.
I hate this town. I hate the way this town makes me feel.
I'm not saying this, just because it's the town I'm in... I'm saying it because I mean it from the very deepest spot in my heart...
And Cayte, if you read this. The thought of the beginning of February is the only thing keeping me going. Hope you're doing well.

Today was stellar.
- Went to the farmer's market and got lots of goodies there.
- Made eggplant parm for dinner.
- Went to the b-movie horror fest.
- Found FORBIDDEN ZONE on dvd!
- Went swimming/wading in the fountains with the people I care the most about.
- Now we're gonna go watch FORBIDDEN ZONE!
